Terms of Service

Welcome to Ampworks. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ampworks.co.za and any purchase you make from us. By placing an order you agree to these Terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Returns Policy.

1. About us

Ampworks is a South African supplier of electrical, switchgear and solar products, based at 24 Kneen Road, Valhalla, Centurion. You can reach us at hello@ampworks.co.za or 084 445 7051.

2. Products and pricing

  • All prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR).
  • Unless stated otherwise, product prices are displayed excluding VAT. VAT at the prevailing rate is calculated and added at checkout.
  • We make every effort to display products, specifications and pricing accurately, but errors may occur. Where a genuine error is found, we reserve the right to correct it and to cancel any affected order, with a full refund of amounts paid.
  • Product images are for illustration. Actual items may differ slightly, and manufacturers may change specifications without notice.

3. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to purchase. A contract of sale is formed only once we accept and dispatch your order. We may decline or cancel an order (for example where stock is unavailable, a pricing error has occurred, or payment cannot be verified) and will refund you in full where this happens.

4. Payment

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Full payment is required before goods are dispatched. Ownership of goods passes to you only once payment has been received in full.

5. Delivery

Delivery timelines shown on the site are estimates. Certain items are special-order and are dispatched on a 3–5 working day lead time; standard timelines apply to in-stock items. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please see our Refund & Returns Policy for delivery and returns details.

6. Warranties

Products carry the applicable manufacturer's warranty. Warranty claims are handled in line with the manufacturer's terms and the Consumer Protection Act, 2008. Please retain your invoice as proof of purchase.

7. Trade accounts

Trade and wholesale pricing is available to qualifying customers. Trade terms are agreed separately and may be varied or withdrawn at our discretion.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Ampworks is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of our website or products. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable law. All electrical products must be installed by a suitably qualified and, where required, registered person in accordance with SANS and local regulations.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
